Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2 Episode 31: Somewhere She'd Like
In terms of goofiness and laugh-out-loud moments, this episode had some of the best so far-from Frieren enjoying the hot springs to her three- day tantrum, which was especially funny to watch. This was probably the most expressive we have seen Frieren, and I really enjoyed that aspect. Moving on to the more wholesome moments, the trio's journey- technically a pointless detour-to find a hidden hot spring was surprisingly meaningful. The idea that seemingly meaningless detours can become unforgettable memories really resonated with me. I also liked that Stark was the one who took the initiative to experience it for himself, even if he hilariously regretted it later. I did not expect a full "Stark asking Fern out on a date" subplot, much less both Stark and Fern separately going to Frieren for dating advice-it was hilarious. At the same time, it was nice to see how much Frieren cares for Fern and tries to support her in her own way. Season 2 has been great so far; it is hard to believe we are already nearly a third of the way through.
