DBS:beerus episode 3 Spoiler review(scroll down ya know the drill)
This episode was again. Very limited, they really are cutting alot of content. Not to be harsh but the cuts are beginning to show "sloppyness" if you will. Some scenes aren't really flowing naturally, for example take the scene where Vegeta is worrying over the Z fighters angering Beerus. you can see he "fell" beacuse the original scene was him accepting his demise, but here they cut i
Again very obvious why, they are trying to speedrun to the bread and butter of the arc, but the cuts are so , obvious. I mean their biggest sin is cutting the Yamcha upscale when he SLAPS BEERUS /S(Toei will not get away with disrespecting my king yamcha😡) now he just puts his arm around him
Speaking of fights, like before they cut alot of fights. Beerus vs Mystic gohan= gone, Beerus vs Piccolo, 18 and tien? their gone too. We are only given three fights in this episodes and it's Beerus vs Fat buu, Beerus vs Gotenks(cause Gotenks certainly needed to be kept but not gohan, ) and beerus vs Vegeta. even more annoying is that some like Gohan retain bruises in the remaster meaning it's obvious he fought Beerus, but they cut it out.....Why????
Him , 18 and tien are also visibly grounded(which is again because they fought him) but you get the point
Alright enough negativity, let's go to the....well basically only true highlight in this episode. My bulma,(and yes if you are wondering they DID cut Beerus slapping Bulma.....or rather edit it so weird, he looks like he elbowed her, rather than slapped her,,but she clearly was slapped, ya know what ima ignore it)
First off, love the addition of the "Snapping" mental image they gave Vegeta. Very obvious homage to Gohan's own "snapping" against cell. Plus they both got rage boosts stacked on their SSj2s so it's fitting.
The actual form itself, the improvements are still top quality here's an old comparison
The newly added magenta lightning over the generic blue+ outline really sells quake of fury this time,.
For the actual fight however, well i'm too busy to put a frame by frame shot, but compared to ssj3 goku vs Beerus, they really didn't try in comparison,minus taking some of the old scenes, making it slower and adding the " darker shading", So for those of us expecting another 10/10 fight, yeah we're out of luck. Still I liked the Rage Galick gun though. That's it, really nothing more to say
7.9/10 weakest episode so far, Quake of Fury Vegeta was nice and all, but it's like he was the only thing relevant in the director's head. Atleast we reached SSG. it's overall a good one but great.My be the first I am saying this I'm not entirely sure I prefer this episode over the original episode 6-7(DON"T joke about that).
